Lorraine was born in Dublin, studied in Trinity College Dublin and worked in both community and hospital pharmacy for a number of years in Dublin, Jersey and the UK. Lorraine studied BSc in Psychology, Post Graduate Certificate in Research Methods in Psychology, and Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Care Mental Health in Liverpool before going on to study, train and qualify with a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Chester. Lorraine also boasts full completion of study and training for E.M.D.R. (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), and is able to provide E.M.D.R. for Psychological Trauma.

Lorraine is an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist working for the NHS in the UK for the last 8 years, using Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and EMDR for a range of common mental health problems. Lorraine is fully accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). In addition to her clinical work, Lorraine is able to provide supervision to therapists practicing Cognitive Behavioural interventions and therapy at both low and high intensity. Lorraine has a keen interest in research and is co-author of one publication.
